And what have you done...

The title is butchered from the song "Happy Christmas/War is Over" by John & Yoko, which of course is playing ad infinitum everywhere I go at this time of year.

Why 'post' about it here?  Especially since I am not in the habit of using dA as a journal/blog/tweet or twit and frankly don't usually give a whit about social media?

Because the world's soul bleeds and we sing Christmas carols.  Because its all about the presents and not our own presence.  Because we all believe that we are right and everyone else is wrong but we can't all be right, can we?  Can we?

I actually listenened to the words of above song during a recent trip to the shops and thought about the words.  What have I done during the past year?  And of all the things I have done, what is of true consequence?  What have I omitted to do, which would have made some small difference to someone, somewhere?

So come on, my friends.  What have you done?

And, more importantly, what will we do?
